PLEASANT HILL'S ANNUAL FIRECRACKER 5K RUN, WALK & KIDS DASH!
JULY 4th AT 7:30 A.M. (JUST BEFORE THE PARADE)!

 

 

 

Welcome to the Firecracker 5K Fun Run registration page. This highly popular event is a great way to start your day on July 4.


Each participant registers for either the 5K run/walk or the kids' 100 yard dash.

All race net proceeds will be donated to the Pleasant Hill school of your choice. During the registration process you will be asked to designate which Pleasant Hill school shall receive your registration fee. (Runners age 7 or less are free.)

 


  

  

 

WHAT: 5K run for bigger folk, plus 100 Yard Dash for kids 7 & under!

WHEN: July 4th at 7:30 A.M. right before the parade!

WHERE: Downtown Pleasant Hill on the parade route!

WHY: Because all race net proceeds go to support Pleasant Hill schools!

AGE GROUPS: 12 and under, 13-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

PRIZES FOR: Overall Race; Winners (M/F); & Most Patriotic Costume/Attire (M/F)

 

Parking is available at the multi-story parking lot on Crescent Drive across the street from the Century 16 Theater. Note that the entry/exit to this parking lot on Contra Costa Boulevard will remain open the entire day. The Crescent Drive entry/exit will be closed from 7:00 am till 11 am.

This popular event is growing bigger every year! The 5K course starts at 45 Crescent Drive, in front of Fleet Feet Sports. It goes through the downtown area and follows the same route as the parade. Runners make 3 laps around the course.

 

 

T-Shirts?? You bet!   Your registration fee includes your commemorative Firecracker Fun Run T-Shirt. For youngsters age 7 & under there is no registration fee and no T-Shirt. But these youngsters should still register, so we will be expecting them on the morning of the race.

Please note that we must place our order with the T-Shirt supplier by June 26.  If you register by June 26 your shirt will be available for you at the race check-in station on race day. If you register after June 26 we will still order a T-Shirt for you but it will be included in a supplemental order and can be picked up at Fleet Feet Sports several days after the race.

* Note that the special family rate is a bargain only if all 3 family members are older than age 7. If any family members are 7 or less it would be more economical to register each family member individually and get the free registration for youngsters who are 7 or less (age is the participant's age as of July 4).

 

 

There are two ways to register for the 5K Fun Run:
1. Register online (quickest, easiest and cheapest).
2. Pick up a registration form at Fleet Feet Sports at 45 Crescent Drive.

If you prefer to fill in a paper form (option 2) you can register right there at the store or you can mail the form to us or you can bring the form with you to the registration desk on race day.

This 5K Fun Run is a great way to support Pleasant Hill schools. Join your neighbors for this run. When it's over you'll be in an excellent location to stay and watch the parade.
