PLEASANT HILL'S ANNUAL FIRECRACKER 5K RUN, WALK & KIDS DASH!
JULY 4th AT 8:00 A.M. (JUST BEFORE THE PARADE)!

 

Welcome to the Firecracker 5K Fun Run registration page. This highly popular event is a great way to start your day on July 4.


Each participant registers for either the 5K run/walk or the kids' 100 yard dash.

All registration net proceeds will be donated to Pleasant Hill schools. During the registration process you will be asked to designate which Pleasant Hill school shall receive your registration fee. (Runners age 7 or less are free.)

WHAT: 5K run for bigger folk, plus 100 Yard Dash for kids 7 & under!

WHEN: July 4th at 8:00 A.M. right before the parade!

WHERE: Downtown Pleasant Hill on the parade route! Click here to see parade route. Check-in station is at 45 Crescent Drive, in front of the clock tower.

WHY: Because all race net proceeds go to support Pleasant Hill schools!

AGE GROUPS: 12 and under, 13-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

PRIZES FOR: Overall Race; Winners (M/F); & Most Patriotic Costume/Attire (M/F)

 

Parking is available at the multi-story parking lot on Crescent Drive across the street from the Century 16 Theater. Note that the entry/exit to this parking lot on Contra Costa Boulevard will remain open the entire day. The entry/exit on Crescent Drive will be closed from 7:00 am till 11 am.

This popular event is growing bigger every year! The 5K course starts at 45 Crescent Drive, in front of the Clock Tower. It goes through the downtown area and follows the same route as the parade. Runners make 3 laps around the course.

 

 

T-Shirts?? You bet!   Your registration fee includes your commemorative Firecracker Fun Run T-Shirt. For youngsters age 7 & under there is no registration fee and no T-Shirt. But these youngsters should still register, so we will be expecting them on the morning of the race.

Please note that we must place our order with the T-Shirt supplier by June 23.  If you register by June 23 your shirt will be available for you at the check-in station on race day. If you register after June 23 you will not receive a commemorative T-shirt.

Participants acknowledge and agree that photos and/or video footage taken during any of the events sponsored by and/or included in the Pleasant Hill Fourth of July celebration may be used without further consent or compensation by the Pleasant Hill Fourth of July Commission for promotional purposes.  This includes, but is not limited to websites, Facebook, social networks, articles, and any other promotional or news materials regardless of the format.

 

There are three ways to register for the 5K Fun Run:
1. Register online (quickest, easiest & cheapest)
2. Print a registration form and mail it or bring it to the race.
3. Register in-person at the Sports Basement store in Walnut Creek.
